AMF Italia – Association of Financial Market Intermediaries represents the interests of operators in the Italian financial market towards Italian and EU institutions, other associations and any other public or private economic and social organisation. AMF Italia is one of the pillars of the Italian financial market and partner for all intermediaries who provide investment services in Italy from all over the European Union, who are supported through advocacy activities, processing of data on financial matters and publication of studies and research. In addition to interacting with national and European institutions within the regulatory processes of their respective competence, AMF Italia assists associated intermediaries by providing personalized regulatory and organizational consultancy, developing contractual guidelines and standards and contributing to developing best practices, all in context of constant dialogue with the competent authorities and the associated companies themselves. In order to promote an approach aimed at the correct and uniform application of the reference regulatory framework, the association also organizes conferences and training activities aimed, among other things, at encouraging discussion between Italian and EU intermediaries and institutions.
AMF Italia has around 60 members (banks, securities brokerage companies, Italian branches of foreign intermediaries and management companies of multilateral trading systems) active on the primary and secondary markets and on the derivatives market, with a share of over 80% of the entire volume traded on behalf of third parties on Italian regulated markets. AMF Italia also includes leading Italian and international law firms, consultancy and IT solutions development companies and other entities that provide services to financial intermediaries.
